July Ipsy Glam Bag Review

bblogger, beauty, Cosmetics, ipsy, review, Summer

July Glam Bag. All photos in the post are from Ipsy.com.

The July bag is super cute and reminds me of a pool sparking in the sun. It’s got a fun holographic shift too. I’m sure it’ll be used as another makeup bag to throw in my purse for my endless stash.

I have to say though, this month’s bag isn’t among my favorite glam bags, though I did receive a couple products I liked a lot, the reason being that I seem to be getting the same types of products repeatedly and can’t seem to use them all up and would like more variety. I will change my preferences overall, but still, opening my Ipsy bag every month is still something I look forward to.

Dr. Lipp’s Original Nipple Balm (**4 Out of 5**)

Though you can totally use this to hydrate sore or dry nips, I haven’t used the balm for this purpose as I’ve been slathering it on my eternally dry lips ever since I opened my bag. According to Ipsy’s description, moms and runners need extra hydration on the nipples, but you can also use it as lotion, to shape the brows or men can even use it to shape their mustache, so if you hate it, give it to your bf or friend if he’s got one.

There are a few other uses they suggest. I love how creamy and hydrating it is though it is a bit creepy that the wax it’s made of comes from the glands of domestic sheep as noted in its description on Ipsy. At least it’s cruelty free but I was happier about it before I found that out. Beeswax is a commonly used product so I don’t know, maybe it’s not so weird? What do you think?

Tapered Blending Brush by Elizabeth Mott (**5 out of 5**

This is by far my favorite item out of the bag. I absolutely love getting brushes in my Ipsy bag, especially high end ones, as it makes the ten dollars I’m paying totally worth it and then some. (This one retails for $16 so yay!) Even if the rest of the bag sucks, brushes always make up for it. This one is an amazing blending brush, which you can never have too many of. You can also use it to contour your nose, which I’m going to try next.

Eyeko Skinny Travel Size Liquid Eyeliner in Carbon Black (**4 Out of 5**)

As I’ve noted before, I don’t really use eyeliner anymore so I don’t have a use for this unless I’m doing a glam look once in a while. I’ve received so many from Ipsy, I really don’t need another one. I used to do cat eyes like every day in high school so maybe I’ll recreate some of my teenage looks. I like the brush, as it’s nice for making a precise line. I also like that the ingredients are nourishing to the eyelids, as noted in Josh’s description:

“Itโ€™s made with nutrient-rich algae extract that helps hydrate and soften the delicate skin on your lids and gives it a smooth, glossy finish.”

It also notes that Alexa Chung loves this product and is a spokeswoman for the brand so that’s awesome, as who doesn’t love her? She’s hella cool.

Coconut Blush Duo in Beaming and Tender heart (**5 Out of 5 Stars**)

I love that this blush duo is infused with coconut (I love everything coconut) and that this brand is vegan, cruelty free, and owned by women. I’ve tried their foundation and liked it for a no fuss no makeup makeup day. I wasn’t too thrilled with the eyeshadow I received in a different Ipsy bag by Pacifica, as the colors were just not my cup of tea. Regardless, I absolutely loved this blush and bronzer duo as both tones are absolutely stunning, creamy, and totally colors and formulas I gravitate towards.

I’ve received so many blushes I love from Ipsy, I wish I’d get more eyeshadows, primers, and lipsticks. Regardles, I’m thrilled to try this as I know I’ll be using it a ton.

Pureheals’ Black Charcoal Peel Off Mask (**5 Out of 5**)

I absolutely love charcoal for purifying the skin. I have another mask from CVS that’s practically identical to this K Beauty one so it’s not anything I haven’t tried before but it did the job and performed as well as Ipsy claimed it would. I’ll definitely use this up quick in these hot LA months when I need extra pore cleansing, and have been using this type of mask regularly anyway as I have super oily acne prone skin.

Though I absolutely love the blending brush, the lip balm, and the blush, I wouldn’t mind getting more face products, lipsticks, and eyeshadows, as I’ve gotten a ton of eyeliners and blushes. Still, overall, I still think Ipsy is a worth it for a true makeup lover. This month, the brush was my fave and made it worth it.

What did you get in your bag? Was it something you will use? Did you love it? Hate it?

Love you all!

June Ipsy Glam Bag Review

beauty, Blog, ipsy, Makeup, review, Uncategorized

Sorry for posting this bag a bit late but what can I say? I have three jobs this summer! ๐Ÿ˜…

I’m loving the June Ipsy Glam Bag theme, Flying Colors. I’m not only an eternal lover of bold color, but the theme is in line with Pride month. I’m all for it. Love is love. Live and let live. Plus, the bag is too cute.

As for the products…

My favorite was hands down the…

Moisturizing Eye Bomb by Belif

Moisturizing Eye Bomb by Belif.

I was beyond stoked to get this in my bag in June. I saw a few other people had received it and kept my fingers crossed I would too. As someone unwilling to shell out exorbitant amounts for skincare products I’m not sure will even work for me, I’m totally down to try any for a fraction of the cost. Let me tell you, this does what it claims to. Though I haven’t been using it long enough to say I see a totally different person, I can see the difference in my under eyes. They are refreshed and plumped every time I use this and it is so nice for the summer due to how cooling and refreshing it is. I need to try more K Beauty and purchase a full size of this asap.

Kaleido Cosmetics Skin Blush in Primadonna

Kaleido Cosmetics’ Skin Blush in Primadonna.

As a lover of peachy glowy blushes, I feel like this blush is a perfect fit for me. As an added bonus, it is “100% cruelty-free, vegan, talc-free, phthalate-free and para ben-free.” Yay! The formula is glowy, creamy, and buildable. I will definitely be using this a lot and already have. Also, the creator is pretty awesome and the company’s team took the time to comment and reply to me on ig, which is so cool!

In the words of Ipsy,

“Weโ€™re kinda obsessed with the founder of Kaleido Cosmetics and her relatable, fun-loving attitude. In her own words: โ€œI have lots of fun with the product descriptions and shade naming, most of which are done over a glass of wine with a big bowl of nachos and guacamole with my fantastic girlfriends!โ€

So me!

Ferdinand Lipstick Mini Lipstick in Rose Gold

I love the color of this lipstick, and anything rose gold, but it’s not the best formula honestly. It’s not as opaque as I’d like and requires many layers to look close to how it does in the tube. On the plus side though, it’s super creamy which I’m all for. I’ve been layering it with liquid lipsticks to make them more comfortable on the lips. It’s perfect for sticking in your purse for an easy lip.

Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Serum

Bareminerals’ Skinlongevity Vital Power Serum.

As someone past the age of 21, which I’m honestly not too sad about as 21 wasn’t my best moment, (bad friends and boyfriends are a toxic combo), I’m stoked to finally have a skincare routine. I would always look at the Lancome and Clinique counters with wonder as a kid and want to slather all of my mom’s skincare all over just for fun. Now I can do it for real and I have totally seen a difference in my skin. I’ve only been using this for two weeks along with everything else I’m using, but I love my skin’s renewed looking texture and how refreshed it looks. Ipsy’s description says it all:

“It packs a special blend of ginger extract which helps brighten, and antioxidant-packed California poppy which protects your skin from damage like fine lines and sun spots. Even though itโ€™s concentrated, itโ€™s really lightweight and sinks into your skin immediatelyโ€”so right after applying youโ€™ll feel fresh, hydrated, and super glowy” I would have to say that so far, that’s pretty accurate and my skin is super sensitive and prone to breaking out and I’ve been happy with it.

Kokie Cosmetics Be Bright Illuminating Concealer

Be Bright Illuminating Concealer by Kokie Cosmetics.

I’ve been wanting to try this, and like with so many products, Ipsy seems to read my mind. After hearing my girl Tati rave about this in so many videos, I was sure I’d love it as I usually agree with her. It’s not as full coverage or matte as I’d like as a girl with acne scars and who is oily, but surprisingly, I like this for a no makeup makeup day. It’s prefect for under the eyes and to highlight for natural glowy skin. This is great for the summer, when you don’t always want to wear a full heavy face of makeup. I’ve been wearing it to work and love it combined with my L’Orรฉal Infallible Pro Matte. The combination works well for me.

Overall, I am happy as I really needed to boost my skincare game even more and I received two great skincare products. I’m obsessed with the blush, can totally make the concealer work, and the lipstick is a great color but wish it was more pigmented. Still great for easy makeup days.

In terms of boxycharm vs. Ipsy if have to say this month, it’s a toss up! Loved both.

What did you get in your Ipsy bag? Any goodies? Any flops?

Love you all!

Love +light

April 2018 Ipsy Bag Review

bblogger, beauty, Makeup, review, Uncategorized

Usually there are some hits and misses in my glam bag every month. This month though, I was pleased with every one of the products. It seems the update on my profile is making a difference.

Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Girl Boss

This mauvey lavender color is so Spring-forward and gorgeous I couldn’t wait to put it on my nails when I opened the bag. It’s very wearable and won’t clash with certain outfits. I love polishes like these and this color is so me. I also love that the brand is cruelty free. I’ve been wearing it for a few hours and got intense color and opacity with two swipes. It is good quality and went on super easily. Ipsy’s website states it is “…long-wearing, crack and chip-resistant, and dries super fast (so drying time wonโ€™t slow you down).” We’ll see if it lives up to this description, but yay! I need more nail polishes like this.

Sahi Cosmetics Cream Metallic Foil Shadow in Doha

How amazing is this shade? It’s absolutely stunning in the pan and even more beautiful swatched. I can’t wait to do a look with it. I was interested and glad to find out that it’s infused with jojoba oil which helps hydrate the lids. Ipsy’s website describes the shade as “… coppery gold shade with crushed pearls thatโ€™s inspired by the city of Qatarโ€™s skyline at sunset (and we can totally see why).” Yes, so can I, and though I’ve gotten shades similar to this in my bag before, I will never stop loving super foiled metallics.

Skin & Co Roma Truffle Therapy Cleansing Cream

I love that this cleansing cream contains pure truffle extract and almond oil. Though this product is geared mainly towards people with dry and sensitive skin as it aims to protect skin’s natural moisture barrier and hydrate, and I have oily acne prone skin, I loved it because I also have sensitive skin and because it took all of my makeup off. Also, the smell is divine.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul

I absolutely love this formula by NYX because of the smell and how cushiony it is. Despite the fact that it’s way more comfortable than other liquid lipsticks, my lips are usually so dry that only creamy lipsticks are comfortable enough to wear the whole day. I love the shade and the brand and can wear it with tons of lip balm underneath.

Purlisse Beauty Coconut Oil and Coffee Sugar Body Scrub

As a coffee addict and fiend, I was so stoked to see this in my bag. Not only is the smell absolutely delicious, but I’m in love with the end result. I haven’t really dabbled into body scrubs much, but can conclude this one is worth a try. The coconut oil is deeply moisturizing and the coffee is an excellent exfoliator for the body. Overall, I’m sold.

This has been one of my favorite Ipsy bags so far and I’m glad these products all are things I’ll be using a lot.

Have a beautiful day!

March Ipsy Glam Bag Review

beauty, Makeup, Makeup Review, review, Uncategorized

This is my favorite Ipsy bag design so far, hands down!

March smells like promise and new beginnings to me. I found a few quotes today that reminded me about how lovely spring can be.

“No winter lasts forever. No spring skips its turn.” (found on picturequotes.com)
“Springtime is the land awakening. The March winds are the morning yawn.” — Lewis Grizzard

I’m so impressed with this month’s bag design. It features such a creative and unique design by talented LA-based artist Priscilla Witte.

My colored in creation

Read more about her inspiring story and the unexpected life turn that landed her gigs with Taylor Swift X Keds, illustrations all over LA cafรฉs,  and and Ipsy. It is Ipsy’s first-ever coloring-book style glam bag. I’m here for it as I’m still as much a fan of coloring as I was in preschool.

On her inspiration for the design Priscilla said,

“I wanted this Glam Bag design to reflect unique beauty. To me that meant hip hair, lots of different styles, shapes, and interesting people.” Love it.

What I Got:

Dirty Little Secrets Baked Highlighter in Bellini

Dirty Little Secret’s Baked Blush in Bellini

This month I also have received my favorite highlighter out of all the highlighters I’ve received so far by Ipsy. I honestly use it more as a blush though,  or blush topper. It’s too pink and pigmented to use as a highlighter but it’s gorgeous on the cheeks. It gives a soft, healthy, rosy glow.

Dirty Little Secrets baked highlighter in Prosecco.

If you received this item you  got in either Prosecco, Bellini, or Soda Pop. Bellini is the one I got, and it is described on the website/app as a “… light pink thatโ€™s totally intoxicating. (Get it?!)”

Dirty Little Secrets baked highlighter in Soda Pop. This is totally like a shimmery bronzer, or it may look beautiful as a highlight on deep skin tones.

I was hoping I’d get Prosecco, as I’m partial to peachy highlighters and blushes, but I was not at all disappointed by Bellini.

Contour Cosmetics Lip Kit Pencil in Juju

This nudey pinky  lip pencil is perfect paired with any nude lipstick. I received the pencil in Juju, though some of you may have received it in Stud. I love both, as I wear both nudes and browns quite often.  I usually don’t line my lips or wear liquid lipstick, so I end up having to re-apply my lip balm and lipstick about ten times a day if I’m at work or out at an event, etc.

Contour Lip Kit Pencil in Stud

I don’t mind, but I’ve been dipping into lip liners to see if they’ll help make my lipstick last a bit longer.  You can totally use them sans lipstick too. I love this one because the color is gorgeous, it’s a twist up, and it’s super creamy. I tend to avoid pencil liners because I’m lazy and don’t want to sharpen them and because some formulas can be drying.

Glossier’s Balm Dotcom in Coconut

Glossier’s Balm Dot Com in Coconut

If you got this product you recieved it in either Original, Rose, Mint, or Coconut. I received it in Coconut, which I love.

Coconut is a delicious smell and flavor. I would’ve preferred to get something a little more interesting than a lip balm, but this is a high quality balm and it has five uses according to Ipsy. (use it as regular lip balm, apply it with lipstick to sheer it out like a tint, apply it over a matte lip to create a glossy lip, rub it on cuticles, and rub it on rough patches on the body).

As I mentioned, I’d rather get something I’d never think to try, but since this is a high quality lip balm, I’m not totally disappointed by it.

SL41 Blusher Brush by SLMissGlam

SL41 Blusher Brush by SLMissGlam

This brush is totally my cup of tea. Glittery cute things make me happy. Not only did I need a  blush brush and highlighter brush, but the brush’s design is gorgeous and so whimsical and fun. It makes me feel like a Disney princess, which I’m totally here for. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I fell in love. I looked up the creator and she has so many adorable brush sets that look intriguing.

I was really hoping it’d perform as good as it looked, so I’m so happy it did. The Ipsy site claims it’s a blush brush, as does awesome creator SLMissGlam’s, but it worked better as a highlight brush for me. Either way, I’m in love. ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ’ฅ Check out SLMissGlambeauty.com for more fairytale vibes. ๐Ÿ˜Š

From SLMissGlambeauty.com. Love the adorable illustrations all over the site.

Sex Kitten Eyeliner by Tarte

Sex Kitten Eyeliner by Tarte

I won’t lie to you. I was stoked to get a Tarte product but wasn’t too thrilled to get an eyeliner again in my bag, as I’ve gotten several before. It’s not that I’m not into them, it’s just that I find myself using eyeshadow to line the eyes more and more and rarely use eyeliner. That’s funny considering there was a time I wore eyeliner every day.

I’m interested to see how the Sex Kitten palette performs.

Since the name is so cute and it’s by Tarte, I’ll give this one a go though. I haven’t used it yet but it swatched super creamy and pigmented. I’ll keep you posted on what my thoughts are.
I haven’t stopped using the highlight, brush, and lip balm. I will include the other two in my routine as I try and give everything a fair shot.

Thanks so much for reading! Love you all and I wish you a lovely weekend

February Ipsy Glam Bag Review

bblogger, beauty, review

Hey beauties! Once again, I received a mixed bag when it came to my Glam Bag this month, but most of it was awesome. I’ll start of with the most outstanding product of the bunch:

The Luxie Blending and Shading Eye Brush 249

Hands down this is probably in the top five products I’ve received from Ipsy. It was love at first blend. I’m so happy I came across its path as blending any eyeshadow is effortless. I was an instant fan. It’s obvious to see why so many beauty gurus rave about Luxie.

Bye Bye Under Eye by It Cosmetics

This product is another one of those you always hear about people raving about and wonder if that praise is warranted, which in this case it is. I hadn’t gotten around to trying it before now probably because I’m a drugstore makeup hoarder as I refuse to pay high end prices most of the time.

Being able to try amazing products like this without having to shell out that kind of coin is why I’m such a such a subscription box proponent. The product truly makes any under eye issues you may have say goodbye for the day. Since I have oily lids I love using concealer as an eyeshadow base and this works wonders as one. The coverage is fantastic and it lasts all day, especially when set.

Pacifica Beach Crystals Palette

I came across the brand Pacifica recently while shopping at Sprouts, a local health food grocery store, in case you’re unfamiliar. I love this store for their yummy grape juice sweetened muffins, sugar free pies, and salad bar. In addition, they have a vast vegan and cruelty free makeup and beauty section, which is awesome. I tested a BB Cream type foundation with moisturizers and SPF by Pacifica and loved it.

All of Pacifica’s packaging is very pretty and hippie-ish. Love it. This is their Pacifica Dreamy Cover Bare-Faced Foundation Serum SPF 20. 14.99 at Target.

It’s great for an everyday easy look. I also thought their blushes and lipsticks seemed enticing, as was the fact that they are all natural, cruelty free, etc. as I’d like to switch to using mainly these types of products. The packaging and the concept of the beach crystals mini palette is totally adorable but unfortunately I was underwhelmed by the pigmentation. The shades are pretty though not extremely shimmery. This may be suitable as an everyday work makeup palette in the end so I will continue to give it a shot.

Bang Beauty’s Blush in Smoked Peach

The name of this blush was enough to draw me in. I love a good peachy sheen to the cheeks. I feel like apricots, corals, peaches, and warm tones in general complement my skin tone and I just love these tones in general so I’m a sucker for these products. The blush gave me a nice natural flush that you could totally build up if you wanted to. It’s got a subtle glow that’s just peachy. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

Marc Anthony’s Strengthening Grow Long Leave-in Conditioner

I love strengthening conditioners in general so I was excited to see this in my bag. The product has been working really well for me and I love how soft and nourished it made my hair feel.

I’ve been debating whether or to get Boxycharm or Birchbox. What do you think about these boxes?

Love you all and hope you’re having a fabulous weekend!

January Ipsy Bag Reviewย

bblogger, beauty, Makeup, review

I’ve been receiving Ipsy Glam Bags since October, and I’ve got to say, I’ve discovered several amazing products along the way. Among my favorites are Ouai’s hair oil. I can’t live without that delicious scent and the shine it gives my hair. I also adored the Lisa Frank eyeshadow single in Heartthrob, which I used in my Aquarius / Mermaid inspired eye tutorial. I want everything from the collection. Two standout powders were the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder by It Cosmetics and Manna Kaddar’s HD Perfecting Powder.

On to da bag!

I’m starting off with my fave thing in the bag, the Stay Put Brow Gel in Licorice

(**5 out of 5 stars**)

I was pleasantly surprised by this product. I’ve seen this brand at Marshall’s, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, etc. and I’ve seen Bella Pierre products in other Glam Bags and Boxy Charms before.

To be honest, I judged this product based on appearances and not knowing this very well so I assumed it to be sub pat and an imitation of ABH’s dip brow.

As I said, I was totally wrong and this product worked extremely well on my brows. I have thick and very unruly brows. I’m blessed to have many brow hairs and have brows at all but it’s hard to keep them in place all day and make them look presentable without spending an inordinate amount of time on them.

The product was pigmented and very creamy so a few dips will do the job and are enough to fill in sparse spots and give shape to the brows. The detachable brush performed very well and I liked the whole product very much as it’s very useful as a whole. A few runs of a spooler through them, flicks of this product, and brow mascara and I’m good to go. Case in point, I’ve been using it all month. That’s usually how I can tell if I actually love or just like a product.

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Raisin Flesh by So Susan (**4 out of 5 stars**)

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Raisin Flesh by So Susan

With some products you get the possibility of getting one of two or three colors. I was kind of hoping to get the other color, Pumpkin, as I’m a friend for all things pumpkin colored and flavored.

Liquid Matte Lipstick in Pumpkin by So Susan

If I was Jack Skellington in the forest of Holiday Doors I would’ve literally stayed in Halloween Town  and Fall forever if I had the option and occasionally visited Christmas Town occasionally. I’m not a summer person and probably never will be.

Anyway, I actually loved this gorgeous dusty rose color. It goes very well with my skin tone and is perfect for work and with almost any look. I’ve never heard of this brand but I’ll have to check out their other products.  It’s like a nude with a hint of something. I love it, but like most liquid lipsticks, it gravely dried out my lips. I can wear it with approximately 20 layers of lip balm or chapstick underneath. I should probably start exfoliating my lips too.
Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliating by Purlisse (**5 out of 5 stars** so far)

As a person with very oily acne prone skin and texture and large pores, this product is right up my alley. I’ve been so into mud masks lately and found that they’ve really improved my skin. I also desperately needed to exfoliate, so this was a perfect addition to my bag.

Ipsy’s description says, “Itโ€™s made with nourishing ingredients used in ancient Chinese beauty rituals including white clay, blue lotus seeds, ginger, and mushroom that will brighten, detoxify, and soothe your skin.”

I mean… How can you go wrong? I haven’t tried it long enough to tell you I’ve seen a definite difference or if my skin’s overall improvement is just due to me using the other products I use, but so far so good, and if you’re interested let me know and I’ll keep you posted.

Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm (**4 out of 5 stars**)

The color and of texture of this product are great and it’s a classic for good reason. I do like my highlight to be a bit more glowy though, so I’ll use this for when I want a subtle sheen and in the inner corner for work / when I don’t need to be extra.

Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner by Ciate London (haven’t used it yet)

I love a good pigmented liquid liner and this is definitely that. I haven’t been using liner recently as my eyes have been itchy and uncomfortable for some reason so I’m trying to let my lashes and lashing breathe for a while. I haven’t used this product enough to tell you I love it but I’m pretty sure from swatching it that it’s a keeper.

That’s it! Love you guys and hope your weekend is going amazing!

What did you get in your Ipsy Bag if you’re subscribed? Do you love or hate any of these products?

October Ipsy Bag Complete & Honest Review (My First Ipsy Bag!)

beauty, Makeup, review, Uncategorized

Image from Ipsy.com. October’s theme is Spellbound. In love with it. The colors, theme, texture, and theme of this image are so cohesive and well thought out. Love Ipsy for that.

Image from Ipsy.com. October 2017 Glam Bag.

After much deliberating and review reading I finally joined Ipsy and couldn’t be more excited about my next bag after the one I received this month! I mean…do you see the little bat on the glam bag’s zipper above? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ฉ Such October cuteness. ๐ŸŽƒ

Their website says, “This month, we paired up two of our favorite trendsโ€”crimson and laceโ€”to make your October a little more mysterious. We hope that you’re batty for it.”  Yes I am.

Pic from mysubscriptionaddiction.com. Check this website out for complete reviews on almost all subscription boxes that exist. She also provides spoilers if you’re into that!

This is the package I received. Again, my life was slayed. I love getting packages in the mail because it makes my soul dance, but a pink package? Come on! ๐Ÿ˜Š

I was hemming and hawing between getting Ipsy or Boxy charm and I’ve concluded… I’m just going to get both. If I cut down on the makeup I normally would buy anyhow, it makes this worth it.

Pictures like this one by keepcalmandcrafton.com. of goodies of this caliber seduced me to get Boxycharm too.

The upside of Ipsy is the low price, at $10 per month for a mix of intriguing high end and drugstore priced samples. The downside is the small sample sized amount you get.

Boxy charm on the other hand gives you full sized products yet it’s $20 per month. I can’t decide which is more alluring and Kathleen Lights, my favorite beauty guru loved Boxy Shurm as she says, so I’m going with both!
Here are the goods I received from Ipsy this month!

  • Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder by It Cosmetics

This product was honestly routine-changing. It’s one of the best face powders I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried too many to count. For this product alone I’d say the $10 was worth it. I never would’ve thought to try it. I have serious acne scarring & texture problems, and it actually helped. Obviously, my pores didn’t actually look invisible, but there was a noticeable difference. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Here’s what the full sized product looks like and the difference in size is obvious. I’d say the $29 price tag is worth it because it really does smooth out the skin and give the illusion of a velvety texture.

I love the creaminess of this concealer and the fact that it contains healing/antibacterial active propolis. What I don’t love however, is that it creases a lot and emphasizes fine lines around the eye. It’s best for concealing/priming lids & pimples. I’ve been using it a lot for those purposes.

  • Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Bronzed

This is hands down my favorite product in the bag, maybe in the world, this week. Here’s an easy bronzy smoky eye tutorial I did highlighting this amanzingly shimmery, reflective, unique, pigmented, creamy eye shadow. This brand is awesome and so underrated. For $12, this shadow is a steal.

The look I did with the shadow.

  • Dermelect โ€˜Meโ€™ Nail Polish in What-A-Gem or Verdure (I got What a Gem)

I have been wearing this polish on my nails for a week and it’s barely starting to crack. Ipsy’s description claims special peptides this polish is formulated with strengthen nails. I love that and the color is a cute baby pink duochrome that shifts gold. I can’t lie though, I kind of was hoping I’d get Verdure. (Everyone who got the nail polish got one or the other). Still, I’m not dissapointed.

This is the other color, Verdure.

  • JM Solution Water Luminous Jelly Cleanser

I love that this cleanser contains hylauronic acid, which is intensely hydrating and prevents skin from aging. However, I’m not sure the hydration and slight fragrance did my skin any good as I am currently breaking out. I normally break out once a month anyway, due to hormonal upsets I am currently getting tested and treated for. (I should really do a whole post on that).

Overall I am very satisfied with my bag this month and very glad I joined Ipsy. I’m so excited to find out about products I’ve never heard of and see what’s in the bag next month! Stay tuned for the November review!
