Current Color Mood: Yellow
Sunny happy yellow is cropping up everywhere & I’m loving it for summer. Who says you can only wear yellow during the day? Wear it to go out, for a wedding, etc.
I’m also loving slit dresses. I love that it’s okay to be a little cheekier during the summer too.

New (Spring) Beginnings
I’m wishing you all & myself a week full of new beginnings and wonderful things this spring. I feel like I need a fresh start. This app I’m trying out, Paint Joy is actually pretty fun and easy to work with. ( This is not a sponsored post!) I just like it. I’ve tried a lot of similar apps, believe me, but I won’t quit until I find the ideal one for drawing on the go. I’m in love with that idea. I’m also in love with wispy feminine dresses right now. Love is In the Air
Even though the world as we know it has been turned a little on its side as we go forward into a new year and a controversial (to say the least) presidency, I’m trying to remain grateful and feel the love that remains. Today I felt loved after receiving so many birthday wishes. I truly appreciate each one and think it’s time to plant some seeds of hope.
I’ve been feeling a bit disenchanted the past few days. (Lack of sleep didn’t help). I started thinking of all the things I love today, including this blog, and my readers, and realized, when some things suck, you can always turn a new page. You can choose to look at things differently. That’s what I’m doing today, on my birthday.
I made this illustration to illustrate a dress a feminine, slightly kitschy retro dress I envisioned for Valentine’s Day.

In My Mind I’m Walking in a Winter Wonderland
I can’t walk in a winter wonderland, ao I drew one. Visiting Switzerland, and seeing snow period are definitely on my bucket list. I’m pretty sure my weak Californian bones will be shivering in my boots, but that’s okay. I think sledding and cute log cabins will be worth it. It’s only raining and 52° here in Burbank, and I need 5 layers. 😊
There’s something special about curling up near the fireplace with a blanket, a book, and a cup of cocoa.
Right now I’m inspired by corduroy dresses, layers, turtlenecks under dresses, and Christmas Eve Eve. 🍬👢☕🎄
Christmas Red
It’s nice sometimes to sit down with a cup of coffee or holiday tea (I’m loving Trader Joe’s Wintry Blend coffee) and remember Christmases past, and furthermore, why we celebarate Christmas. I don’t know if you even celebrate Christmas, but even if you don’t, I think cheer and good will is something we could all use a little more of. I made this illustration with these thoughts in mind.
Personally, I do believe in God and I think life is too much of a miracle to deny that God exists. I’m not here to preach though, and this blog is about fashion. However, I think its it’s important to keep the big picture in mind.
I’ve been loving peter pan collared dresses for a while and I’m fawning over rich jewel tones like ruby for Christmas, especially paired with neutrals. There’s no color like red for filling the soul with vibrancy and warmth. I’ve been wearing it on repeat this holiday season. What’s your favorite color right now?
