Childhood Memory

As a kid I had neighbors who were almost like brothers. Their dog was a sweet, big, red haired dog, kind of like Clifford the Big Red Dog. I loved him dearly. He was the inspiration for this drawing, which I did as part of Childhood Week on Instagram. Lately, I’ve been down for any drawing challenge and I’m currently looking for my next one. I’m sad I couldn’t do all of the Childhood Week prompts but this week has been beyond chaotic for me, yet very amazing all in one.

Love you all!

Holiday in the Mouse’s House

The mouse told a holiday tale, but the fox had eaten so much, he fell asleep. The owl and the otter stayed up late, waiting anxiously for Christmas morning.

I’m thinking of creating a comic strip or illustration series for my blog. Please like the post if you like this idea.

Love you all!

💕💕🎄🎄💫💫

Sending you lots of holiday cheer.

Happy Thanksgiving! / Something to be Thankful for

My favorite part of Thanksgiving as a kid was the assortment of desserts on the dessert table. I would want a piece of everything and somehow get away with it as long as I ate all of my dinner, which I didn’t have a problem with either.

As I grew older I became reflective of the meaning of Thanksgiving as I’m sure many of you did. I began to consciously ponder what I should be thankful for on that day and every day, not just on Thanksgiving. I try to carry that attitude throughout the year even though it’s difficult at times. Nonetheless, I feel thankful today for pumpkin pie, family, and friends, (including all of you), just like I did as a kid.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love is In the Air

Even though the world as we know it has been turned a little on its side as we go forward into a new year and a controversial (to say the least) presidency, I’m trying to remain grateful and feel the love that remains. Today I felt loved after receiving so many birthday wishes. I truly appreciate each one and think it’s time to plant some seeds of hope.

I’ve been feeling a bit disenchanted the past few days. (Lack of sleep didn’t help). I started thinking of all the things I love today, including this blog, and my readers, and realized, when some things suck, you can always turn a new page. You can choose to look at things differently. That’s what I’m doing today, on my birthday.

I made this illustration to illustrate a dress a feminine, slightly kitschy retro dress I envisioned for Valentine’s Day.

Have a lovely day! 💕

Fashion Illustration // Inspiration for Design Project I’m Working On

IMG_20160629_140712I’m very excited to say I’m working on a design project. I’ve been researching and gaining inspiration for a little while, and I’m almost ready to make the actual products! Before doing so, I’ll be posting fabric swatches, more illustrations, (of the actual items) and more on my inspiration! So far, I cam say I’m being inspired by the natiral California landscape & traditional Mexican folkloric garments. 😀👖👒🌹

My vacation officially starts tomorrow and I am beyond ecstatic that I can dedicate all my time to my project, blogging, and music making. Yay!

Hope you’re all having an amazing summer so far! Make the most of it.

😉🌞✌❤
