Style Profile: Alessandra Ambrosio

The perfect summer outfit. Alessandra at Brentwood Country Mart last Sat. (My new favorite spot to eat ice cream.)

It’s must not be hard to have great personal style when you’re a model, right? I have a feeling Alessandra Ambrosio’s laid-back California-girl style is less based on free clothes and more based on the fact that the girl can really put an outfit together. Although, free clothes wouldn’t be too shabby would it? I made a commitment to regularly post about women of all shapes and sizes on this blog so “normal” girls will appear alongside supermodels.

To quote Marc Jacobs:

“I don’t love Photoshop; I like imperfection. It doesn’t mean ugly. I love a girl with a gap between her teeth, versus perfect white veneers. Perfection is just… boring. Perfect is what’s natural or real; that is beauty.”

So..I don’t idolize beauty, I merely admire it. My main focus however is style. 😉

Alessandra certainly has enough! She’s made quite the number of fashionable appearances at Coachella. What I like about her take on boho chic is that she doesn’t overdo it. I feel like a lot of people are buying too much into the idea of playing hippie and/or display questionable fashion choices and behavior for a day and paying a lot to do so. Case in point:
